In addition to our customers making ΔP measurements across an orifice with our differential transducers, Tavis makes very accurate flow sensors with integral venturi tubes. In fact, the Space Station is chock full of Tavis flowmeters for environmental control and life support systems. Our Variable Reluctance technique and construction allow for very high line pressures even with low flow rates. Some of our more customized flowmeters have dual flow range capability.

Tavis Venturi flowmeters are used in applications with characteristics such as:
  • Custom venturi designs for specific flow requirements
  • Dual gage low/high flow rates
  • High line pressure
  • Output signal linear with either pressure or flow
  • No rotating/moving parts
  • Continuous analog output; flow is not sampled or digitized
  • Weld-mount, flange-mount, fitting-mount interface with system plumbing
  • 4 - 20 mA and 0/1-5 VDC outputs
